GGA advocates efficiency and dynamics in the area of litigation, particularly in bringing legal actions, obtaining a legal recognition of the assets and rights of the clients, as well as credit and asset recovery.

The proposal or defence of legal actions are always preceded by an in-depth analysis of the legislation, legal doctrine and jurisprudence on the subject under discussion, aiming to achieve a maximum success in the proceedings to be enforced or defended.

Other than bringing legal actions, GGA provides pre-litigation advice and issues technical opinions.

Regarding legal actions with no potential to succeed, GGA advises its clients in good time to arrange for out of court agreements or other solutions aiming the reduction of its clients’ economical risk.

Legal Advice comprises the issuance of technical or legal opinions in different matters, in accordance with the Law areas in which GGA operates.

Legal Assistance aims to provide and give to the client a service catered for his needs, covering all urgent or specific services requested by the client due to an unforeseen event, or unlikely to occur, on which the client requests the presence or rapid intervention of the lawyer.

Examples of these type of situations are arrest of individuals, demonstrations or strikes, disciplinary proceedings based on severe disciplinary offenses taking the form of other legal types of crime, and /or of urgent nature.

Mediation is an out of court and voluntary mechanism for conflict resolution, being specifically directed to disputes where there is an interest of the parties in maintaining commercial relationships, among others, based on a cooperative, collaborative and respectful attitude in resolving the dispute.

GGA has qualified staff in mediation, for the purpose of resolving commercial or labour related conflicts, when requested to do so by the clients and/or when they wish to maintain cooperation links with the counterparty.

Arbitration is an out of court mechanism for dispute resolution known for its celerity, as an alternative to judicial courts for dispute resolution.GGA provides to its clients, upon request, an ad hoc arbitration.

If the clients possess an arbitration clause contained in commercial contracts or undertake arbitration together with the counterparty for the dispute resolution, GGA organizes the arbitration process in a duly accredited institution, monitoring the procedures at all stages until the final decision.
